Extra Curricular Activities
Health and Fitness - Recent studies show that our society, through the comforts of technology and fast food, enables childhood obesity, which has reached epidemic proportions. Kids ‘R’ Kids knows how important physical activity is to any child’s development, and that’s why our centers include the Kids ‘R’ Kids Health and Fitness Challenge. Our unique Health and Fitness Program provides all the tools for kids of all ages to learn and enjoy how to be healthy. Throughout this curriculum we emphasize healthy bodies, the food pyramid, family-style dining, and physical fitness. We stress the importance of fair play, team cooperation, and physical well-being.
Foreign Language - We offer a weekly in house Spanish class for our Suite 200, 300 and 400 classes. A thirty minute class is taught in each classroom once a week and is brought to us by an instructor from the Spanish Academy. There is no additional cost to attend this class, it`s completely free to the parents!
Dance - Kids love to perform and express themselves with music and movement and they gain a great sense of accomplishment while doing so. We offer a private pay Tap and Ballet class for children ages 3-5, which is held at our school once a week for a 45 minute session. The class is taught by a dance teacher from Creative Movement and Dance.
Martial Arts - The principles of the ancient art teach self-discipline and physical prowess. Through martial arts, children learn to respect others and regulate their own actions. Our school offers a private pay Choi Kwang Do classes for children ages 3 and up. Two 45 minute classes are held once a week, one class for children ages 3 & 4 and a second for children 5 and up.
Computers - Knowing that our future continues to involve the technology of computers, Kids `R` Kids understands the importance of providing your child with the latest in electronic lessons and games to support the educational themes taught in school.
